Christian Life Protection Initiative ✦
Dear pastors in Christ, dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Just six months ago, “Charlie” and I were shaking hands and smiling together in Los Angeles. Now he has been murdered. My heart is broken. Countless Americans are heartbroken.
What the enemy has attacked and destroyed is not only a man, but the Christian faith, America, and freedom. What the enemy has gunned down is justice, wisdom, and goodness. What the enemy has struck is love, marriage, and family.
“Charlie” may be the first martyr in American history who gave his life for the Christian faith—but he will not be the last. The persecution of Christians in America is no longer hidden. Yet the blood of the martyrs will never be shed in vain.
When the “Black Lives Matter” movement arose, many pastors—including Chinese pastors—responded actively. Today, as the cry “Christian Lives Matter” is heard, we must ask: Who will stand up?
We may not yet be on the streets protesting, but if today we do not use words, videos, and above all prayer to guard the lives of Christians, then persecution will quickly become our daily reality.
The Bible reminds us:
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8–9)
Therefore, I call upon all Christians:
If your pastor does not pray for America, remains silent toward sin, and does not cry out for the lives of believers, then you must carefully consider whether to remain in such a church. You are better off leaving. To speak up for Christians today is to save your own life.
✦ Practical Actions We Can Take ✦
Prayer Watch
Set aside 15 minutes daily to pray for America, the church, and persecuted Christians.
Create online prayer groups (Zoom, WhatsApp, Telegram) to intercede together and encourage one another.
Speaking Through Writing
Write one short testimony, prayer, or reflection each week (200–500 words) and share it on social media.
Collect Bible verses and design posters to spread the message: “Christian Lives Matter.”
Video Testimonies
Record 1–3 minute videos to share your faith stand and prayer appeals.
Encourage youth and young adults to participate and use creative means to spread the gospel and truth.
Mutual Support
Establish a “prayer partner system”—two believers paired together to remind and strengthen one another.
Actively support and share whenever pastors or churches publicly pray for Christians.
Building a Network of Action
Work with local churches to promote a “Day of Watch for Faith,” guarding believers’ lives through prayer and testimony.
Support Christian human rights organizations by offering practical help to the persecuted (letters, donations, advocacy).
Holding Meetings
Use Zoom, X (Twitter), and other platforms to hold regular meetings: to pray together, expose the persecution of Christians in America, and resist evil.
Conclusion
Today, do not treat “defending the faith” as a distant slogan.
To speak up for Christians is, in truth, to save our own lives.
May we, in this dark generation, be the witnesses who still shine with the light of Christ.
In Christ,
